Who we are
DanceDojo is a product of ViralScripts LLC ("we", "us"). You can reach us at privacy@getdanceai.com for anything on this page.
What we collect
We collect only what the product needs to work:
- Account information — your email address, display name, and profile avatar if you set one. Provided by you, or by Google if you sign in with it.
- Order information — your name, shipping address and what you bought. Needed to ship a pad and to answer questions about an order.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers never reach our servers; we store only the last four digits, card brand and expiry that Stripe returns, plus the Stripe identifiers for your customer and subscription.
- Gameplay data — scores, timing accuracy, songs played, session length and the difficulty you played at. This is what powers your history, your personal bests and the leaderboards.
- Fitness data — if you connect a heart-rate monitor, we store the readings from that session alongside the play. This is health-related information and we treat it as such: see "Health data" below.
- Voice audio — if you use voice commands, the recording is sent to our transcription provider, converted to text, acted on, and not retained by us as audio.
- Technical data — IP address, browser or client version, and error diagnostics, kept to operate and debug the service.
Health data
Heart rate, workout duration and related fitness measurements are consumer health data. We collect them only when you connect a monitor, we use them only to show you your own sessions, and we do not sell them or share them with advertisers.
Residents of Washington State have specific rights over this category under the My Health My Data Act. You can request a list of who we have shared consumer health data with, and you can request deletion, by writing to privacy@getdanceai.com. We will confirm deletion in writing.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use your gameplay or fitness data to target ads.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that make the product function, and only with what they need:
- Stripe — payments, billing and subscription management.
- Supabase — account authentication and our database.
- Amazon Web Services — storage for music, charts and game assets.
- Google — address validation during checkout, and sign-in if you choose it.
- Trybe — tells us which creator video led to a purchase, so we can pay that creator. On dancedojo.app it sets a cookie and records the page you arrived on, the link or ad that brought you, and your browser type; when you buy, it records the order number and amount, never your email. It does not load if your browser sends Global Privacy Control.
- Deepgram and Anthropic — voice-command transcription and interpretation, when you use that feature.
- Shipping carriers — your name and address, to deliver a pad.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Your choices
You can view and edit your profile in the app, and delete your account at any time by writing to us. Deleting your account removes your profile, play history and fitness data. We keep order and payment records for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
We honour the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser sends it, we treat it as an opt-out of sale and sharing — which, as noted above, we do not do in any case.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for how to respond to it, so we do not respond to it differently from our normal practice, which is not to track you across other companies’ sites.
Children
DanceDojo is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, write to privacy@getdanceai.com and we will delete it.
Security and changes
We protect information in transit and at rest, restrict internal access, and review our access controls. No system is perfect, and we will notify affected users and regulators as required if a breach occurs.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and we will tell account holders by email before a material change takes effect.
